Circle has reached an agreement to buy Tazapay, a cross-border payments network located in Singapore, with the acquisition anticipated to finalize in 2027.
The purchase is additionally subject to standard closing conditions and clearance by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, as Circle revealed in a Tuesday statement.
Tazapay processes over $25 billion in yearly payment volume and supports more than 60 fintech and banking allies with local payout channels reaching upward of 100 territories. The firm reported in August 2025 that its annualized transaction volume stood at $10 billion.
Circle had previously put funds into Tazapay, which included participating in the startup’s August 2025 Series B financing round that pushed cumulative funding to $57.9 million, based on metrics from Traxcn records. XRP creator Ripple likewise participated as an investor during that funding event.
Stablecoins represent roughly 60% of Tazapay’s settlement activity, according to statements from Circle. The corporation noted that the purchase will grow its capacity to direct transactions toward and away from the Asia-Pacific region and developing economies.
