During the previous week, Strive incorporated an additional 469 bitcoins into its reserves, elevating its cumulative stockpile to an exact 25,000 BTC valued at approximately $1.95 billion based on current market rates.
An Form 8-K filing published on Monday revealed that the organization allocated $36.6 million toward this most recent acquisition, achieving an average cost of just under $78,000 per bitcoin.
Matt Cole, the CEO, pointed out that the entirety of the funds gathered throughout the week originated from issuing SATA, which is Strive’s perpetual preferred stock and has lately surpassed $1 billion in total outstanding notional value.
Furthermore, Strive (ASST) elevated its “amplification ratio” to 53.5%, a metric the business characterizes as “the ratio of notional preferred equity outstanding and debt to BTC NAV.” Put simply, this indicates that for every $100 of bitcoin owned by Strive, the firm carries roughly $53.50 in debt and preferred stock liabilities.
This latest purchase represents a deceleration compared to the week prior, during which Strive acquired 1,375 BTC at a cost of roughly $109 million.
At present, Strive stands as the fifth-biggest public bitcoin owner globally, trailing behind Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA. Cole mentioned that the company might potentially advance to the second position before the year concludes, though he clarified this is not his primary projection.
To surpass Twenty One, Strive would have to purchase another 18,515 BTC, provided that the Tether-supported entity makes no further additions to its existing stockpile of 43,514 BTC.
With exactly 15 full weeks left in the year 2026, Strive would need to accumulate an average of approximately 1,234 BTC weekly to bridge that difference.
Equities of the firm’s common stock, ASST, climbed past 4% during Monday’s opening trading hours, reaching a year-to-date peak just beneath $29.
This upward movement occurred as bitcoin hovered near $78,000 following an erratic trading session the previous Friday. BTC climbed rapidly from approximately $76,000 up to nearly $80,000 before dropping back toward $77,000 across a seven-hour window, whereas weekend market activity remained somewhat quieter.
Meanwhile, Strategy, which holds the title of the largest corporate bitcoin owner, kept its reserves steady at 845,050 BTC for the second week in a row. Instead, the firm utilized $139.3 million from its U.S. dollar cash reserves to buy back STRC preferred shares.
