Robinhood Wallet is introducing an additional pathway for participants to exchange stock tokens by incorporating the Arcus API, as the decentralized platform increases its catalog to exceed 190 equity tokens.
According to an announcement provided to The Block on Thursday, Arcus stated that this connection establishes it as one of multiple routing partners available for Robinhood Wallet stock token spot exchanges. Qualified participants within eligible regions will gain access to the liquidity and execution framework of Arcus right through the application.
Developed by the creators of dYdX, Arcus debuted on Robinhood Chain during July featuring upward of 90 stock tokens. The inventory has subsequently expanded past 190, alongside perpetual markets that continue operating in a trial phase, based on the release.
Its operational mechanism deviates from a standard single liquidity reserve. Instead, Arcus relies on a request-for-quote architecture where institutional market makers vie to quote individual transactions rather than depending on one collective liquidity pool.
The organization noted in its briefing that if an exchange initiated by a Robinhood Wallet participant processes via Arcus, those individuals could qualify for Arcus Points. Furthermore, Arcus will enable limit orders for Robinhood Wallet participants utilizing the application’s built-in decentralized application browser.
Arcus reports having handled greater than $5 billion in aggregate trading activity since its launch, accompanied by more than 15,000 distinct participants. Total value locked currently exceeds $28 million.
Arcus Chief Executive Officer Eddie Zhang remarked that the initial momentum validates their foundational thesis that market participants demand venues that are borderless, available, and continuously operational.
