Following a modest recovery in August, publicly traded mining firms CleanSpark and BitFuFu encountered a drop in Bitcoin output during September, whereas Canaan maintained a steady generation rate.
CleanSpark extracted 529 BTC throughout September, marking a decrease of nearly 11% compared to August’s 593 BTC. BitFuFu yielded 167 BTC, representing a 4% reduction from the 174 BTC achieved the month before, while Canaan generated 44 BTC, matching its exact August figure.

Furthermore, CleanSpark stated it will discontinue monthly mining updates in favor of transitioning toward quarterly financial reporting.
This shift aligns with its growing focus on expanding its data center operations. Last week, CleanSpark finalized a $2.276 billion senior secured note offering aimed at funding the development of its Sandersville, Georgia, data center campus, which is projected to yield roughly $6.6 billion in revenue.

The firm’s bitcoin reserves saw a minor bump, moving from 1,373 BTC up to 1,388 BTC.
Additionally, the enterprise revealed complications regarding its planned acquisition of an 80 MW bitcoin mining facility in Ethiopia, which arose from conflicts between the facility manager and local electricity providers. BitFuFu has already allocated $4.1 million into the arrangement and installed roughly 13,700 Bitmain Antminer S19 units at the location.
The organization is presently evaluating various alternatives, including completely walking away from the agreement to salvage a portion of its capital.
