Uniform Labs, the company behind the tokenized asset settlement network Multiliquid, secured $8 million across pre-seed and seed financing rounds.
Polychain headed the most recent seed round, with participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures, and Circle Ventures, as stated by Multiliquid on Thursday. The pre-seed capital was raised between May and June of 2025, followed by the seed round spanning from April to June of 2026, according to Will Beeson, founder and CEO of Multiliquid, in a statement to The Block.
He chose not to reveal how the $8 million total was divided between the two financing stages. Regarding the legal framework, Beeson mentioned that the pre-seed used a simple agreement for future equity, or SAFE, whereas the seed was structured as a priced equity offering. He declined to state the company valuation.
Multiliquid has not established a board of directors, Beeson noted when questioned if backers obtained board seats, observer rights, or advisory roles.
How Multiliquid works
Established last year, Multiliquid enables institutional entities to swap tokenized assets for stablecoins, or vice versa, via a single atomic operation. The protocol operates on Ethereum and Solana.
Tokenized assets exist onchain, yet subscription and redemption workflows can still require multiple days to clear, Beeson explained. He pointed out that this limitation stops institutions from quickly shifting capital when they need to rebalance reserves, answer margin calls, or alter investment approaches.
“Tokenization puts real-world assets onchain, but onchain is not the same as real-time or liquid,” Beeson remarked. “Today’s market suffers from multi-day redemption lags, fragmented liquidity, and prohibitive exit friction, all of which Multiliquid eliminates by providing instant, continuous, net asset value-based conversions between tokenized assets and stablecoins.”
When questioned about Multiliquid’s competitive advantage, Beeson stated that automated market makers can trigger price slippage, while standard over-the-counter desks typically depend on manual execution accompanied by settlement delays. He added that Multiliquid instead automates swaps at NAV and clears both legs simultaneously on either Ethereum or Solana.
Beeson noted that the network is built for active treasury and collateral management instead of merely cashing out tokenized holdings into stablecoins.
“Institutions need the flexibility to rebalance reserves, meet intraday margin calls, and switch yield strategies across venues 24/7 without being locked behind issuer-specific redemption windows or siloed ecosystems,” he said. “Without instant flows, you’re just replicating TradFi [traditional finance]. When flows are instant, you get internet-native capital markets.”
The startup announced that Multiliquid supports tokenized instruments from asset managers such as Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson, and Fasanara, along with stablecoins like USDC.
Its primary audience features asset issuers, corporate treasuries, decentralized finance lending platforms, and market makers, according to Beeson.
He further mentioned that Multiliquid is collaborating with strategic investors while building integrations with tokenized asset issuers and secondary exchange venues, though he did not disclose specific client names or new partnerships.
Compliance and business model
Beeson stated that Multiliquid operates without custody and connects natively with permissioned token standards, “enforcing transfer restrictions, identity verification, and issuer-defined compliance rules directly at the settlement layer.”
According to Beeson, the platform is already processing initial pilot transactions and will onboard liquidity providers throughout the fourth quarter. He withheld figures concerning transaction volume, settled assets, active users, or institutional accounts.
He explained that Multiliquid generates revenue by levying basis-point fees on finalized exchanges. Asked whether the project intends to issue its own token, Beeson replied, “Not at this time.”
Beeson stated that Multiliquid will direct the capital toward scaling protocol engineering, adding liquidity and trading partners, and expanding support for tokenized cash and Treasury products across EVM-compatible networks and Solana.
Multiliquid currently maintains a team of five and is actively recruiting protocol engineers alongside institutional business development personnel through early 2027, Beeson stated.
