Ripple is integrating GSmart artificial intelligence agents into Ripple Treasury—the previous GTreasury platform it purchased for $1 billion—to oversee corporate funds, assess risk, manage forecasts, and suggest operational steps.
These capabilities reside within Ripple Treasury, which is the rebranded GTreasury network that Ripple bought last October, according to a Thursday statement.
The autonomous agents can supervise operations spanning liquidity management, financial forecasting, and account reconciliation, identify issues, propose interventions, and reference the specific corporate guidelines that justify each proposal. Ripple noted that no steps are carried out without direct human authorization.
This safeguard is vital within the financial sector, where allowing a conversational AI to mistakenly transfer millions of dollars would prove far more catastrophic than receiving an inaccurate restaurant tip. Ripple explained that all numerical arithmetic is managed by predictable deterministic software, whereas the artificial intelligence is reserved for analyzing corporate rules, detecting data patterns, and communicating suggestions.
GSmart existed prior to Ripple acquiring GTreasury and originally debuted in June 2025. This newest update integrates the technology deeper into treasury operations while introducing a governance layer titled Knowledge Studio alongside an Ask GSmart conversational tool designed for querying corporate financial metrics.
Ripple reports that 60% of qualified clients have already activated its Risk Insights tool, while 44% actively utilize Forecast Insights.
This deployment also advances the broader vision driving Ripple’s acquisition of GTreasury. CoinDesk previously covered earlier this year that the firm started embedding digital tokens directly inside its treasury application, enabling corporate finance departments to handle them alongside standard fiat currency. The platform is presently capable of administering conventional holdings as well as digital assets.
