Strive purchased an additional 1,355 bitcoin valued at approximately $107.7 million during the previous week, bringing its cumulative reserves to 26,355 BTC.
Based on a Form 8-K filing submitted to the SEC, the firm spent an average of $79,475 per bitcoin between September 14 and September 18. With bitcoin trading near $85,600 on Monday, these assets are currently valued at over $2.25 billion.
Strive maintains its position as the fifth-largest publicly traded bitcoin holder, trailing Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA. The company now requires another 17,160 BTC to overtake the Tether-supported Twenty One and its 43,514 BTC, presuming Twenty One makes no further acquisitions.
With exactly 14 full weeks remaining in the year 2026, Strive would need to accumulate an average of roughly 1,226 BTC weekly to secure the second-place ranking.
Maintaining that pace would allow Strive to surpass MARA—which presently holds 35,577 BTC—by the latter part of November. Beyond that, the third-ranked Metaplanet stands just ahead with 43,000 BTC.
This latest acquisition by Strive also signaled the kick-off of warrant exercises connected to Strive’s common stock (ASST). Investors exercised nearly 786,000 warrants last week, yielding approximately $21.2 million in gross proceeds. Taking that into account, almost 58% of the capital raised during the week came through SATA, Strive’s preferred stock.
SATA continued trading close to its $100 par value on Monday.
Raising ASST targets
TD Cowen increased its price target for ASST from $32 to $44, pointing to faster-than-anticipated bitcoin accumulation and growth in bitcoin per fully diluted share. The financial institution now projects that Strive will finish 2026 holding 32,105 BTC, up from its earlier forecast of 27,156.
Analysts Lance Vitanza and Jonnathan Navarrete from TD also revised their estimated full-year BTC Yield, which tracks bitcoin expansion per share, elevating it from 54.1% to 70.1%.
ASST shares declined about 1.5% during Monday’s opening trading hours to settle near $29.65, after peaking at $31.50 in premarket sessions, sitting close to a one-year peak.
This update coincided with bitcoin pushing past $85,000 for the initial time since January, posting gains exceeding 5% over a 24-hour window as short positions totaling at least $648 million faced liquidation.
Meanwhile, Strategy executed another purchase following a two-week period of leaving its holdings unchanged. The organization acquired 950 BTC for roughly $75.7 million, pushing its total reserve to an exact 846,000 BTC, alongside spending around $174 million to buy back STRC preferred shares.
