ARK Invest is turning its ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) into tokens via Securitize, which represents the initial ARK portfolio to transition onchain. The actively managed portfolio allocates capital into both private and public tech enterprises, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, and Databricks.
Qualified investors will be able to access the tokenized fund via Securitize on Ethereum, while Securitize supplies the framework for token creation and investor entry. This transition migrates the current ARKVX investment approach onto distributed ledger technology without altering its core asset holdings, which remain subject to adjustments.
“Tokenizing the ARK Venture Fund puts our conviction in the evolution, if not revolution, of capital markets into practice,” stated Cathie Wood, chief executive officer and founder of ARK Invest. “Based on our research, tokenization has the potential to reshape fundamentally the way that investors access and participate in both private and public financial markets.”
ARKVX holds roughly $1.3 billion in net assets under management, per data from its official web page.
This rollout builds upon a collaboration that kicked off with ARK Invest making a strategic financial stake in Securitize during October 2025, with the goal of promoting the use of tokenized securities, real-world assets, and compliant investment instruments.
When Securitize (SECZ) submitted paperwork to launch a public offering through a $1.25 billion special purpose acquisition company transaction in 2025, ARK Invest appeared among Securitize’s current shareholders, alongside other firms like BlackRock, Blockchain Capital, Hamilton Lane, Jump Crypto, and Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
“ARK has built its business around identifying transformative technologies early and then acting with conviction,” noted Carlos Domingo, chief executive officer and co-founder of Securitize. “ARK’s strategic investment in Securitize reflected a shared belief in the potential for tokenization to transform capital markets, and today we are putting that conviction into practice.”
