Mesh has joined forces with Visa to allow individuals to utilize digital asset and stablecoin funds stored inside participating wallet applications across more than 175 million vendor sites globally.
This connection facilitates physical and digital commerce utilizing a backend Visa identifier, where Mesh manages the settlement and exchange processes dynamically so clients do not need to liquidate or shift holdings in advance.
“Digital currency has never suffered from a utilization issue—it faces a final-stage hurdle, and up to this point, overcoming it required acquiring an alternative card,” stated Bam Azizi, chief executive officer and co-founder of Mesh, via an official statement. “Mesh manages the liquidity and conversion, transforming a balance into spending capacity right at checkout, meaning the consumer moves no funds and the seller alters no procedures.”
Specific launch dates, compatible hardware, and the exact wallet platforms supporting the Mesh and Visa collaboration remain unannounced.
Mesh functions as a digital asset payment backbone and powered the rollout of PayPal’s “Pay with Crypto” feature. During August 2025, investors including PayPal Ventures and Coinbase Ventures pushed Mesh’s cumulative capital raised beyond $130 million. The enterprise attained unicorn valuation following a $75 million Series C funding round directed by Dragonfly in January.
Additionally, this development represents the most recent expansion of Visa’s ongoing strategy to link blockchain reserves to its standard merchant ecosystem.
Back in April, Visa alongside WeFi announced intentions to let clients utilize digital tokens through Visa while keeping ownership of their coins in non-custodial wallets. Furthermore, the prior year, Visa and Bridge collaborated to give programmers the ability to create Visa payment cards powered by stablecoin reserves, with Bridge administering the infrastructure and foreign exchange conversions.
