Chainalysis has retained premier external specialists to assist in evaluating its security infrastructure and reinforcing its protective measures.
Blockchain intelligence firm Chainalysis announced it became the target of a cyber security breach, mirroring recent events experienced by other digital platforms.
“Based on the investigation to date, we have found no evidence of unauthorized access to investigation content, authentication credentials, or session tokens,” it stated in a blog post on Friday. A small amount of non-confidential client information was compromised.
Chainalysis mentioned that it has brought in elite third-party cybersecurity professionals and is utilizing large language models to help conduct a security audit and fortify its defenses.
The company further noted that this security breach has no connection to the recent digital asset theft at Binance.
Cointelegraph reported on Thursday that Chainalysis successfully outlined a web of Russian intermediaries assisting North Korean IT personnel in liquidating millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency.
Chainalysis shared on X on Friday that intrusions suspected to originate from North Korea represented nearly 89% of all documented crypto theft losses this year, climbing from 15% in 2021.
