The Bitcoin treasury enterprise Strategy (MSTR) purchased an additional 950 BTC for roughly $75.7 million, equating to a mean price of $79,670 per bitcoin, across the period from Sept. 14 to Sept. 20, as detailed in an 8-K filing submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Strategy currently possesses a cumulative sum of 846,000 BTC, valued at approximately $71.9 billion, acquired at an average rate of $75,416 per bitcoin for a combined expenditure of about $63.8 billion, which incorporates fees and associated costs, according to Michael Saylor, the enterprise’s co-founder and executive chairman.
To provide some perspective, the reserves held by Strategy represent upwards of 4% of the ultimate 21 million bitcoin supply limit, translating to roughly $8.1 billion in unrealized profits at current market valuations.
Furthermore, Strategy bought back 1.77 million STRC preferred shares during the previous week for around $174 million. These latest purchases were financed through the corporation’s USD Cash reserve. Additionally, the business utilized $57.4 million out of its USD Reserve to cover preferred stock dividend payouts and interest obligations on existing debt during that identical timeframe.
As of Sept. 20, the respective balances for its USD Reserve and USD Cash stood at $5.04 billion and $1.05 billion, the company reported.

‘A little more orange’
On Sunday, Saylor shared another Strategy bitcoin purchase tracker graphic on X accompanied by the text “A little more orange.” Past updates of this nature have generally signaled upcoming bitcoin purchase announcements on the following day, though the firm’s tactical approach has shifted slightly in recent weeks with its digital asset inventory remaining steady lately.

Based on statistics from Bitcoin Treasuries, 196 publicly traded entities have integrated a bitcoin accumulation strategy of some kind. Twenty One backed by Tether, Metaplanet, MARA, along with the Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company supported by Adam Back and Cantor Fitzgerald, complete the leading group of five, holding 43,514 BTC, 43,000 BTC, 35,577 BTC, and 30,021 BTC respectively.

The stock value of Strategy advanced by 16.4% over the prior week, finishing Friday’s session at $153.92, based on tracking from The Block’s MSTR price dashboard, and currently remains flat for the year following a robust rebound, while continuing down 54.2% across the preceding twelve months. Meanwhile, bitcoin advanced by 5.3% over that timeframe.
