As outlined in a Monday morning regulatory filing, the acquisition was supported by the dollar reserve. Strategy dedicated $174 million in dollar cash toward buying back STRC and $75.7 million in dollar cash for purchasing bitcoin. Additionally, the company employed $57.4 million from the dollar reserve to cover preferred stock dividend obligations. The dollar reserve currently stands at $5 billion, while dollar cash amounts to $1 billion.
Guided by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, Strategy currently accumulates a total of 846,000 BTC, gathered for an aggregate of $63.81 billion at a mean cost of $74,417 per coin.
MSTR stock climbed 7% during pre-market trading as bitcoin advanced to $84,500, registering a 4.5% increase across the prior 24 hours.
