Shares of Strive experienced a notable rally on Monday following the firm’s disclosure of a $143 million Bitcoin acquisition, which elevated it to the rank of the fifth-largest publicly traded crypto corporate treasury.
The company, which trades on the Nasdaq, disclosed that it procured 1,800 bitcoins from August 24 through August 28. These assets were acquired at a mean price of $79,431 per coin, according to documentation submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the organization currently possesses 23,156 coins with a combined valuation of $1.8 billion based on current market rates. Shares of the firm (NASDAQ: ASST) climbed roughly 9% around 12:30 p.m. New York time. Over the course of the current year, Strive’s equity valuation has surged by nearly 40%.
Strive’s year-to-date Bitcoin yield—an indicator measuring the increase in total Bitcoin reserves relative to outstanding shares—advanced to 40.8% as recorded in its August 28 regulatory filing, rising from under 37% seen earlier in June.
The firm presently stands as the fifth-largest corporate holder of Bitcoin reserves, trailing only Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA.
Established in 2025 by former Ohio gubernatorial contender Vivek Ramaswamy after securing $750 million in capital to accumulate Bitcoin, Strive formally launched as a dedicated Bitcoin treasury vehicle.
During January 2026, the company finalized its all-stock takeover of Semler Scientific, representing the initial merger between two publicly listed Bitcoin corporate treasuries.
The corporate model seeks to provide equity investors with enhanced exposure and returns. Strive finances its cryptocurrency acquisitions via equity issuances while maintaining a completely debt-free balance sheet, avoiding bonds, credit facilities, or leveraged exposures that might otherwise force asset liquidations during market contractions.
Strive Chief Executive Officer Matt Cole has emphasized that the enterprise operates without outstanding debt, carries zero margin obligations, and possesses zero encumbered Bitcoin assets.
This latest reserve expansion by Strive coincides with Strategy—the world’s foremost corporate Bitcoin holder—resuming its own accumulation strategy over the past week.
Following a 10-week hiatus from market purchases, the enterprise software company revealed it had secured an additional 4,603 bitcoins for a sum of $369.7 million between August 24 and August 30.
