The potential implications of artificial intelligence within derivatives markets will take center stage during the upcoming inaugural gathering of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Frontier Forum series, organized by its Innovation Task Force and scheduled for October 28.
Employed alongside President Donald Trump’s preferred term “super intelligence,” the schedule published on Tuesday represents the inaugural session of the regulator’s newly established “Frontier Forum” initiative. The program kicks off by examining how derivatives sectors might adapt to the rise of machine learning, alongside assessing the technology’s influence on risk oversight and price discovery.
“Super intelligence is poised to transform our financial markets,” stated CFTC Chairman Mike Selig through an official release.
The agency’s task force noted that the conference will feature insights from prominent figures in the industry, featuring executives from companies including Ornn, Architect, and Liquid Compute.
Furthermore, the gathering will investigate how automated trading agents deployed by market participants will function within existing CFTC compliance frameworks.
