Public bitcoin mining firms BitFuFu and CleanSpark recovered following weaker July production levels during August, whereas Canaan extended its monthly downward trajectory.
BitFuFu generated 174 BTC over the course of August, marking an increase of over 55% compared to 112 BTC in July. CleanSpark’s yield also ticked up slightly to 539 BTC from 586 BTC, while Canaan extracted merely 44 BTC, representing a drop of roughly 4% from the 46 BTC mined the prior month.
Equities of these miners displayed mixed movement on Monday. Canaan shares (CAN) climbed 2.4% to reach $0.34, though they remain down by more than 55% since the year began. BitFuFu stock (FUFU) stayed unchanged at $1.29 and has experienced a year-to-date loss of approximately 54%, whereas CleanSpark shares (CLSK) dropped 2.3% to $13.36 while maintaining a year-to-date gain close to 16%.
BitFuFu
BitFuFu’s recovery stemmed from a substantial scale-up in its hashing capacity. The aggregate hashrate under its management grew 45.1% month over month to hit 20.6 EH/s following the integration of capacity secured across June and July.
Its cloud-based mining division experienced an even more robust turnaround, with output more than doubling to reach 86 BTC compared to 40 BTC in July. Proprietary self-mining output advanced 22% to 88 BTC from 72 BTC, and BitFuFu’s total bitcoin reserves expanded to 1,373 up from 1,314 during the month. The enterprise currently ranks as the 39th-largest publicly traded bitcoin treasury.
CleanSpark
CleanSpark maintained steadier mining results, climbing roughly 1% to 593 BTC despite its mean operational hashrate dipping slightly to 38.3 EH/s. The organization has cumulatively minted 4,903 BTC throughout the initial eight months of 2026, which are currently valued at over $386 million.
The enterprise’s bitcoin reserves decreased to 13,703 BTC from 13,931 BTC as of July’s close, factoring in 77 BTC disposed of on the spot market, 500 BTC associated with call option exercises, and an additional 244 BTC linked to a basis trade strategy.
CleanSpark currently holds the position of the ninth-largest publicly traded bitcoin treasury.
Aside from mining operations, CleanSpark reported that construction continues at its Sandersville data center campus, which is connected to its previously disclosed $6.6 billion lease agreement. Furthermore, the firm obtained conditional ERCOT classifications encompassing 885 MW of contracted power capacity across its Texas locations.
Canaan
Canaan’s bitcoin generation decreased for the third consecutive month, dropping to 44 BTC from July’s 46 BTC and June’s 64 BTC.
The company restructured its digital asset reserves during the period by liquidating the entirety of its 3,952 ETH alongside 54 BTC at mean valuations near $2,400 and $79,000 respectively, yielding roughly $13.9 million in liquidity. It allocated $5.4 million to buy back 13.6 million of its American Depositary Shares.
Canaan concluded August holding 1,868 BTC and zero ETH, making it the 35th-largest publicly traded bitcoin treasury.
