Summary
- Amazon, Tesla, SpaceX, Netflix, SoFi and Lam Research are the latest corporations to reject OKXICE’s tokenized equity trading plans.
- Forty-nine out of the 62 initial target companies have filed objections, leaving 13 with no public pushback revealed yet.
- Firms notified on October 4 have until Tuesday to submit objections under the SEC framework granting a 30-day response window.
Amazon AMZN ($249.44), Tesla TSLA ($397.53) and SpaceX SPCX ($141.77) have added their names to the growing list of entities pushing back against the blockchain-driven trading platform developed through a partnership between crypto platform OKX and NYSE owner Intercontinental Exchange, just as the objection window draws to a close for certain issuers.
Netflix (NFLX), SoFi Technologies SOFI ($16.70) and Lam Research (LRCX) also showed up in the updated public notification published by OKXICE on Monday, November 2. These six new additions elevate the total number of disclosed objections to 56, climbing from the 50 counted in Friday’s update.
This joint initiative intends to enable investors to execute round-the-clock trades for tokenized variants of United States equities on a blockchain-based market, utilizing stablecoins for settlements. The venue is designed to function under a five-year innovation waiver granted by the SEC, which permits eligible exchanges to run automated market makers, leveraging software to handle orders through asset pools rather than relying on standard order books matching buyers directly with sellers.
This expanding roster demonstrates the cautious stance businesses maintain regarding this financial trial. Proponents highlight extended hours and accelerated clearing times, whereas issuers continue to analyze whether alternative marketplaces can attract fresh capital and how trading outside standard channels might impact their underlying equity.
Out of the 62 enterprises originally selected by OKXICE for trading, 49—amounting to roughly 79%—have now formally objected, based on a tracking analysis by CoinDesk. Seven extra objectors stemmed from outside that initial grouping.

The clock is ticking
Securities regulations grant entities 30 days following the receipt of an exchange’s formal written notification to submit an objection. For issuers that obtained notices on October 4 when OKXICE rolled out its initial regulatory submission, that deadline hits on Tuesday, November 3. Nevertheless, the timeframe begins upon individual delivery of each notice, meaning the filing does not mandate a universal simultaneous deadline across all companies.
Exchanges such as OKXICE hold up to five business days to release public disclosures of objections, implying additional feedback might surface following the deadline.
Thirteen corporations from the original lineup show zero reported objections according to Monday’s advisory: Apple AAPL ($331.25), Strategy MSTR ($136.05), Robinhood HOOD ($84.88), Coinbase COIN ($147.25), Super Micro Computer (SMCI), Palantir (PLTR), Circle CRCL ($76.21), ServiceNow (NOW), GE Vernova (GEV), Boeing (BA), Home Depot (HD), Securitize (SECZ) alongside BitGo BTGO ($5.3270).
Both Securitize and BitGo previously advised CoinDesk of their intent not to lodge any objections.
Andrew Cuomo, who serves as co-chairman of OKXICE and previously held office as New York governor, mentioned during a press briefing on Friday that numerous corporations preferred watching how the venue performed in practice before committing.
Cuomo also noted that organizations outside the original group had approached the enterprise to explore participation, though he declined to disclose their identities or share exact figures. Furthermore, he omitted any specific launch date and refrained from stating how many equities will trade when operations commence.
“I think the more people become familiar with tokenization, and the more they see the benefits of tokenization, I think you’ll see more and more companies participate,” he stated during the media briefing. “But we are at the very beginning of the rollout of fundamentally different market structure.”
