Cathie Wood’s investment vehicle Ark Invest acquired $3.4 million in Coinbase equities, $2.6 million in Circle, and $645,820 in Robinhood on Monday.
Led by Cathie Wood, investment management firm Ark Invest boosted its positions in Coinbase, Circle, and Robinhood via its exchange-traded funds on Monday, while all three equities finished the session lower.
Based on Ark’s most recent trading report, the enterprise acquired 24,790 Coinbase Coinbase Global, Inc. (COIN) units, valued at $3.4 million, through its ARKK, ARKW, and ARKF ETFs. Coinbase equities dropped 3.98% to close at $137.83 on Monday.
Ark purchased 35,657 units of Circle Circle Internet Group, Inc. (CRCL), valued at $2.6 million, as the equity fell 0.6%. It also acquired 7,703 Robinhood Robinhood Markets, Inc. (HOOD) units, valued at $645,820 based on Monday’s closing price.
At the same time, the company offloaded 104,172 units of Bullish Bullish (BLSH), valued at $2.3 million. The digital asset exchange’s equities declined 5.69% to finish at $22.54.
Ark’s activity occurred days after Coinbase published robust third-quarter financial results last week. The enterprise’s Q3 net profit climbed 66% year over year to $719 million compared to $433 million during the identical timeframe last year. It produced $1.22 billion in aggregate revenue, largely unchanged from the prior quarter but down 35% year over year.
Notably, Coinbase’s forecasting markets division exceeded $200 million in annualized revenue, doubling from roughly $100 million in the previous quarter. Bernstein analysts stated on Friday that the expansion in the firm’s forecasting markets and subscription and services revenue “assisted in compensating for the quieter cryptocurrency trading participation.”
Circle is slated to publish its Q3 financial results on Nov. 4. Market consensus projections target revenue of $788.17 million and earnings per share of $0.37, according to TradingView. Robinhood published a 20% increase in digital asset revenue from the prior quarter to $120 million, balancing out a reduction in cryptocurrency trading revenue, according to its figures issued last week. Meanwhile, Bullish is anticipated to publish Q3 financial results on Nov. 18.
