Backers of Donald Trump’s memecoin are receiving a fresh opportunity to share space with the U.S. president, marking the third event of its kind following previous gatherings that faced condemnation from Democratic lawmakers as a blatant monetization of the White House.
The leading 185 registered holders of $TRUMP will receive invitations to his Trump National private club located in Washington, D.C., on November 22, based on details provided by the website overseeing $TRUMP gatherings. The organization specified that the VIP qualification—evaluated through token participation—will be finalized on November 12.
Upon the announcement of the gala dinner, the token’s valuation climbed approximately 10% to reach $2.25 before sliding back toward its recent baseline, which remains a minor fraction of its peak price around $74.
Promoted as the "most exclusive dinner in the world," the event highlights that three additional "legends" will accompany the president, though these individuals have not yet been named.
The club clarified one specific detail: "No attendees will be granted a private meet & greet with the President."
This limitation proved to be a source of frustration for certain attendees at earlier gatherings, where Trump made only a brief appearance and participants missed out on individual interaction.
Ever since the memecoin made its debut just prior to his return to office, investors have incurred losses totaling billions of dollars, and those deficits took center stage during recent deliberations surrounding the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, the Senate’s crypto market structure legislation. Driven by concerns over Trump’s digital asset enterprise, Democratic legislators insisted that the bill restrict the cryptocurrency connections of high-ranking government officials, but that compromise could not be finalized, resulting in the bill’s failure to progress last month.
Trump had indicated an openness to compromise on certain demands by potentially placing his digital asset holdings into a blind trust or divesting them, though the arrangement collapsed when the legislation stalled.
The inaugural Trump memecoin gathering similarly took place at his Washington-area golf club, where protesters, including congressional Democrats, assembled outside to denounce the president for corruption while anonymous attendees arrived.
Back in April, Trump hosted a related conference at Mar-a-Lago in Florida dedicated to memecoin backers, featuring appearances by former champion boxer Mike Tyson.
On this occasion, top VIP participants will receive complimentary items, including a commemorative poster and TRUMP fragrance. According to the registration counter on the website, the leading investors vying for invitations currently maintain hundreds of thousands of tokens each.
