StoneX analysts noted that the restricted platform introduced by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation focuses on different sectors compared to Securitize’s public-blockchain asset tokenization, maintaining a buy rating on SECZ.
According to experts at StoneX, the fresh tokenization offering from the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation acts as validation rather than a threat to the business model of Securitize, maintaining that both entities cater to distinct sectors.
While the restricted service provided by DTCC remains restricted initially to specific securities, participants, and blockchain protocols, Securitize (SECZ) concentrates on open-blockchain tokenization, encompassing tokenized equities, funds, and instruments applicable within decentralized finance.
In a Monday client memo, analyst Mark Palmer stated, “We recognize that DTCC has sparked a discussion regarding the ideal settlement layer for tokenized U.S. equities. Simultaneously, we maintain that SECZ is favorably positioned to emerge victorious in that dialogue, seeing as it stands as the sole tokenization framework possessing the complete regulatory framework required for an issuer to issue its proprietary on-chain stock, encompassing an SEC-authorized transfer agent, a broker-dealer, and an alternative trading system.”
StoneX additionally highlighted the capability of tokenized instruments to function as collateral throughout various sectors, suggesting that the capacity to transfer tokenized Treasury bonds continuously could stimulate interest for tokenized equity and fund units as collateral. The analysts emphasized that Securitize is advantageously situated to capitalize on this trend, supported by its compliance architecture and function as a transfer agent for a substantial volume of tokenized assets.
This particular utility is actively emerging inside decentralized finance.
Based on insights from The Block’s recent Tokenization Briefing, tokenized private debt on Solana achieved $1.44 billion, with debt tokens originating from Securitize and Maple being utilized as collateral across borrowing protocols such as Kamino.
Furthermore, Securitize continues to scale its tokenized stock operations. On Monday, the enterprise broadened its tokenized U.S. equity catalog to encompass 25 stocks, incorporating 13 new firms—such as Disney, Salesforce, GameStop, and ExxonMobil—into its current selection. These digital tokens function on Solana, maintain a one-to-one backing from the underlying shares, and grant qualified participants relevant financial advantages and privileges, including shareholder votes and payouts where applicable.
In the previous month, StoneX suggested that Securitize Stocks could assist the enterprise in diversifying past setup charges to produce servicing and transaction income, with collateral-centric earnings representing a prospective extended horizon.
The financial institution reaffirmed its buy recommendation alongside an $18 valuation target for SECZ equity. At the time of writing, the stock hovered near $7.30, marking a 24 percent decline following its public debut in July 2025.
