The digital asset platform announced that it has initiated staged withdrawals in the wake of the historic breach that the FBI has attributed to North Korea.
The cryptocurrency trading platform had halted client withdrawals following the Thursday security incident, which the FBI linked to North Korean hackers.
“First batch network now opened in phase one of withdrawals is $BTC bitcoin network,” Binance stated via X.
In a prior statement on X released Sunday, Binance indicated that withdrawal services would be implemented in sequential stages, becoming accessible gradually. Further updates will be shared via its official X account, the platform added.
“We are taking a phased approach by prioritizing tokens based on the past week data of user demand, so that each network and asset pair can be restored carefully, with stability and security checks completed before access is reopened,” Binance explained.
Clients ought to inspect the withdrawal portal for their chosen cryptocurrency and network, or consult the Binance network status page to verify current availability, according to the firm.
Throughout the staged rollout, users should anticipate potential network congestion, extended processing durations, and occasional temporary delays, Binance noted, advising that if a withdrawal fails, individuals should retry after a brief interval.
Cointelegraph previously disclosed on Saturday that Binance stated it had refilled 90% of the funds drained during the exploit, advancing from 80% the previous day, and remained on schedule to restart withdrawals by Sunday.
