Ripple and Brevan Howard are expanding their partnership, as the hedge fund increases its adoption of Ripple’s digital-asset products and institutional infrastructure.
Ripple Prime will currently deliver multi-asset prime brokerage, financing, and clearing solutions to the funds of Brevan Howard. Ripple Prime represents the multi-asset prime brokerage established subsequent to Ripple purchasing the institutional prime broker Hidden Road.
“As conventional and digital markets grow increasingly intertwined, the demand for enterprise-grade digital asset architecture that delivers a frictionless journey for investors keeps rising,” stated Alan McGroarty, COO of Brevan Howard Group. “Ripple has constructed a distinct platform that we anticipate will grant our investment professionals enhanced capital efficiency and operational simplicity.”
This collaboration expands upon the prior investment made by Brevan Howard in Ripple as well as its involvement in the $500 million strategic financing round executed by Ripple last year. Based on the announcement, the hedge fund oversees approximately $35 billion in assets.
Earlier in the year, KBRA assigned a BBB rating to Ripple Prime, highlighting that the enterprise continues to scale while aiming to branch into offerings such as swaps and equity prime brokerage. Afterward, the company obtained a $200 million debt facility courtesy of Neuberger Berman to grow institutional margin lending.
Significantly, Ripple incorporated Hyperliquid into Ripple Prime, marking the network’s initial direct connection with a decentralized finance protocol.
