Earlier in the week, investors owning STRC, STRF, STRK, and STRD preferred shares voted in favor of a modification permitting dividends to accumulate on a daily basis.
Strategy (MSTR) announced a net income of $19.53 billion for the third quarter, marking a substantial increase from $2.79 billion during the same period last year, propelled by an appreciation in its bitcoin reserves that yielded a $20.91 billion gain and record operational earnings.
The organization possessed 848,517 bitcoin as of October 25, reflecting a 26% expansion since the start of the year, whereas income generated from its software operations declined by 3% compared to the previous year, totaling $125.4 million.
Strategy revealed that Chief Financial Officer Andrew Kang will vacate his position on November 5, with current Chief Operating Officer Reza Virasteh scheduled to assume the CFO role in January 2027.
“We are standing at the onset of the upcoming bitcoin bull cycle,” Executive Chairman Michael Saylor stated in a publication. “Financial institutions are adopting bitcoin, the market share of bitcoin among digital assets is expanding, institutional interest has returned, and the valuation of bitcoin sits 21% higher than its 200-week moving average. Digital Credit keeps expanding, reaching $16 billion in notional value distributed across ten publicly traded instruments.”
Shares of MSTR declined roughly 3.5% during after-hours trading sessions.
The enterprise noted that STRC “restored its health” through the completion of $2.04 billion in buybacks.
Earlier in the week, investors holding Strategy’s STRC, STRF, STRK, and STRD preferred equity approved an adjustment enabling dividends to accumulate on a daily schedule rather than the prior timetable. The resolution secured 99.3% of the casted ballots, based on data disclosed by Saylor.
The initial record date for STRC is scheduled for November 1, with distribution occurring on November 2, whereas STRF, STRK, and STRD will proceed with a January 1 record date and a January 4 distribution. Following those events, every calendar day will serve as a record date, with payouts executing on the subsequent business day.
“Daily dividend distributions represent a logical progression toward the tokenized, round-the-clock financial ecosystem. Digital Credit is being constructed for this environment, and Strategy aims to pioneer it,” Chief Executive Officer Phong Le remarked on Thursday.
This modification arrives as the premier bitcoin reserve firm utilizes preferred-stock issuances to finance additional BTC acquisitions. K33 calculated earlier this month that STRC had introduced $725 million to the corporation’s yearly dividend commitments.
