French-traded Bitcoin reserve firm Capital B disclosed a net deficit of 69.5 million euros, equating to $78 million, throughout the initial half of 2026, primarily caused by a $75.8 million Bitcoin devaluation write-down.
As outlined in the enterprise’s half-year 2026 report issued on Thursday, the impairment mirrored BTC valuations as of June 30 and carried zero immediate liquid monetary consequence.
Even so, the consolidated turnover for Capital B grew by 3.5 percent on an annual basis to reach $6.5 million, whereas the adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization sat at negative $1.2 million. EBITDA evaluates a business’s operational profit prior to factoring in interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization.
These figures demonstrate that the European crypto reserve enterprise kept gathering capital to power its ongoing Bitcoin accumulation initiative in spite of the book losses. Capital B revealed fundraising efforts adding up to $30 million during the first six months of the year and expanded its BTC reserves by 11 percent, climbing from 2,823 BTC in January up to 3,139 BTC by the close of June.
Subsequently, the organization’s aggregate reserves climbed to 3,538 Bitcoin by September 30, signaling a 25 percent expansion compared to the start of the year. Based on data from Bitcointreasuries, Capital B’s reserve is valued at $290 million today, positioning it as the 25th largest corporate Bitcoin vault globally and the second biggest across Europe behind Germany’s Bitcoin Group.
Data from Yahoo Finance showed that Capital B’s shares ticked up by 0.5 percent during early Friday morning sessions, though they remained down by 25 percent since the year began.
During July, Capital B authorized a 10-for-1 reverse share consolidation designed to attract a wider institutional investor audience. Earlier in June, investors greenlit as much as $120 billion in funding capability, spanning stock and debt solutions, to back its overarching Bitcoin acquisition campaign.
