The London Stock Exchange (LSE) and digital asset platform Kraken are reportedly rolling out tokenized equity trading on the exchange operator’s brand new overnight trading hub.
The LSE has united with Payward, Kraken’s parent organization, to introduce availability for tokenized shares that mirror the performance of top British equity assets starting in 2027, Mark Greenberg, Payward’s chief commercial officer, shared with the Financial Times according to a Tuesday publication.
These digital equities are set to be featured on the LSE’s fresh night-time trading hub, dubbed LSE 24, which will deliver 24/5 transaction capabilities running Monday through Friday, the business declared on July 21.
This move establishes the British marketplace as the newest traditional exchange enterprise to investigate blockchain-powered share products that enable round-the-clock dealing alongside fractional ownership. Additional traditional finance (TradFi) entities checking out tokenized stock assets feature the Nasdaq, CME Group, and the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which acts as the parent corporation for the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
Back in August, Nasdaq agreed to buy out LeveL Markets, recognized as the third-biggest alternative trading platform across the United States regarding volume, as part of its drive toward tokenized ecosystems featuring continuous operation.

During March, Nasdaq, which stands as the globe’s second-biggest stock marketplace by valuation, collaborated alongside Payward and its Backed division—the creator behind xStocks—to engineer a share conversion gateway. This strategy expands upon Nasdaq’s tokenization proposal submitted to American securities watchdogs in September 2025.
One week prior, ICE placed capital into digital currency exchange OKX to introduce NYSE-incorporated tokenized shares to the platform beginning in the second quarter of 2026.
In April, Deutsche Börse committed $200 million into Payward, forming part of the German trading platform’s goals to supply access toward a broader selection of blockchain-based instruments and tokenized investment vehicles while expanding on its prior alliance with Kraken.
Back in January, CME Group, representing the leading derivatives exchange measured by activity, unveiled objectives to debut digital asset futures contracts linked to Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), and Stellar (XLM). Three months afterward, CME stated intentions to incorporate Avalanche (AVAX) and Sui (SUI) futures agreements starting May 4, pending regulatory authorization.
