Fee-free investment platform Robinhood has finalized agreements with Crypto.com and OG.com to broaden its prediction markets lineup, which involves directing a series of event contracts toward OG.com.
Under the terms of this collaboration, Robinhood (HOOD) will additionally acquire equity positions in Crypto.com and OG.com, with the arrangement launching through football-related contracts. According to an official statement, this equity valuation aligns with Citadel Securities’ recent funding injection into Crypto.com Group at a $20 billion valuation.
The 2026 NFL season begins on Wednesday evening.
“Directing event contracts across various platforms builds a more robust, varied, and stable trading ecosystem,” stated JB Mackenzie, Vice President and General Manager of Futures and Prediction Markets at Robinhood, via press release. “As football returns and midterm elections approach quickly, we are delighted to partner with Crypto.com and OG.com for what promises to be a dynamic autumn for prediction markets on Robinhood.”
The Wall Street Journal initially broke the story regarding potential talks for the partnership back in July.
Robinhood noted that event contracts will continue to be sent to Kalshi, ForecastEX, and Rothera as well. Users will be able to trade an expanded range of contracts throughout the upcoming season, featuring match results, player contracts, and bespoke combination wagers.
Simultaneously, Robinhood plans to unveil a specialized election portal featuring novel, dynamic heat maps designed to help users track candidate performance clearly. Following the closure of polling stations, the portal will display tally updates alongside the proportion of anticipated ballots processed.
During the initial eight months of the year, Robinhood’s prediction markets achieved record-breaking activity and turnover. Throughout the second quarter, Robinhood processed 13.6 billion event contracts, which included 5 billion during the World Cup. This activity generated approximately $156 million in revenue, representing a 50% rise compared to the preceding quarter.
Significantly, this period represented the initial timeframe where Robinhood’s prediction markets division generated higher earnings than its cryptocurrency sector.
