Digital asset intelligence company Kaiko revealed it grew its 2022 Series B fundraising total to $110 million thanks to a capital injection spearheaded by S&P Global, highlighting the deepening integration between conventional and digital financial sectors.
Kaiko originally revealed the Series B back in May 2022 when it secured $53 million, which tripled its company valuation, though the specific financial figure remains private. Twelve months prior, the enterprise finalized a $24 million Series A capital raise spearheaded by Anthemis and Underscore VC. The newly acquired capital is destined to enhance its data framework to accommodate the expansion of round-the-clock crypto trading environments, the organization shared on Monday.
The distributed ledger analytics enterprise did not instantly reply to a CoinDesk inquiry seeking additional details.
S&P Global was accompanied in this financing by participants such as BNP Paribas, Coinbase Ventures, Nasdaq, Royal Bank of Canada, and Stellar, according to Kaiko.
“Cryptocurrency markets function 24/7, and the underlying architecture powering them needs to operate identically,” Kaiko explained, noting that the investment highlights how legacy capital market institutions are actively putting capital into the data framework essential for running tokenized trading ecosystems.
Established in France back in 2014, Kaiko stated that the capital will go toward reinforcing its data operations and broadening its suite of products, which currently caters to in excess of 150 trading platforms and distributed ledger networks.
